Fire doors

Fire doors often have to face different challenges, such as flame expansion due to fire spreading, thermal insulation, tightness regarding toxic fumes and safety. For this purpose we offer two different products, to face both aspects of fire-proof matters. One is hinged doors for the passage of people and the other, sliding doors for sectoring spaces.

Although we wish our doors never had to show their efficacy, we have all certificates regarding trials and compliance with regulations for all of them.

Hinged doors for pedestrians

One or two-leaf collapsible fire doors for pedestrians, always manually opened. They have hinges with internal springs for automatic closing.

They always open outward. They can be unblocked by an anti-panic bar, which opens such doors releasing the lock just by pressing from the inside of the door and without using the hands.

The border of the door has a self-expanding fire seal, that in case flames or intense heat reach the door, the seal expands providing tight closure against toxic fumes, thus creating a highly efficient barrier.

There are several models with different resistance degrees for fire exposure, ranging from 60 to 120 minutes according to needs, with thicknesses ranging from 63 to 73 mm. They consist of two steel leaves that are 1.2 mm thick, among which a filling composed of high-density fire-proof ceramic insulating fibre is placed.

Glazed windows, either circular or rectangular, can be incorporated into the door leaf without altering any physical fire-proof characteristics.

They are delivered and installed with finishes in RAL colours.

Sliding door sectoring

Sliding doors for sectoring spaces, for warehouses or industries, can have a mechanised opening but closing is always automatic, even in those cases of lack of electricity.

The closing movement action is performed by a hidden counterweight mechanism or by slanting guides. In either case, the open door is held by an electromagnet. The electromagnet releases the door because of the order given by the fire alarm or manually, due to lack of electricity. Automatic closing is performed at constant speed according to the maximum and minimum speed limits set by current regulations.

Fire resistance ranges from 90 to 180 minutes for sandwich-type panels, composed of two 1.5 mm-thick steel sheets filled with high density ceramic fibre that is 63-105 mm thick. The junction between panel sheet metals is performed alternating points on both sides, ensuing a protection and integrity level of the set that is symmetrical on both sides.

The border of the door also incorporates a self-expanding fire seal, that in case flames or intense heat reach the door, the seal expands providing tight closure against toxic fumes, thus creating a highly efficient barrier.

These enclosures can also have glazed windows in the door leaf without altering any physical fire-proof characteristics.
